CarBindr has the maintenance schedule the manufacturer published for your make, model and engine. It counts each item from the last time it was done, so you can see at a glance what needs doing now and what's next.

Plug in an adapter and see what your engine is up to.
Pair an inexpensive Bluetooth OBD-II adapter and CarBindr shows live readings as you drive: speed, coolant temperature, battery voltage, fuel trim and whatever else your car reports. If the check-engine light comes on, it tells you what the trouble code means in plain English.

Works by text
Update your mileage with a text.
Turn on text check-ins with CarBindr Plus and just reply with what the odometer says. After a fill-up, text a photo of the pump and one of the odometer, and CarBindr logs the fuel and the mileage for you.

How billing works. One person pays for Plus and it covers one shared garage. The free trial asks for a card up front and is offered once; you're charged when it ends unless you cancel. Plus renews automatically until you cancel, which you can do any time from Billing. Cancel within 7 days of a payment, including a renewal, and that payment is refunded automatically. After that, Plus runs to the end of the period you've paid for, and you can ask for a refund at carbindrhq@gmail.com. Prices are in US dollars; sales tax is added where it applies. If Plus ends, you keep your records and can still export them. Payments are handled by Stripe. Full terms in Terms of Service §11.
SMS reminders
CarBindr sends optional garage odometer check-ins and replies to your mileage updates and fuel photos. James Millington, doing business as CarBindr, operates this program for CarBindr's own customers only.
- How you opt in
- Reminders are off by default. After creating an account and adding a vehicle, choose Set up text reminders in the My Garage toolbar. Enter your own mobile number, request and complete phone verification, choose a schedule, and check the consent box before enabling reminders. The consent box starts unchecked. Text reminders are part of CarBindr Plus, and you can use CarBindr without them. We do not buy or import phone numbers or messaging consent.
- What we send
- Requested phone-verification codes, enrollment confirmations, scheduled odometer check-ins, vehicle-selection questions, and update confirmations with maintenance-health snapshots. For example:CarBindr: Time for a garage odometer check-in. Reply with your mileage and we'll ask which car. STOP to stop, HELP for help.Text an odometer reading, or send a fuel-pump photo showing the final sale and gallons plus a main odometer photo. With multiple vehicles, we ask which car and keep your input for up to 30 minutes while you choose. Reliable fuel photos can automatically save a fuel log and odometer update. Unclear readings require review; confirmation messages explain whether anything was saved. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.
- How often
- One schedule covers your garage: weekly, every two weeks, monthly, or a custom interval of 7–365 days. Each saved texted update restarts the garage timer. Exclude vehicles from scheduled prompts in reminder settings; you can still text one-off updates for them. New vehicles are included automatically. Message frequency varies with your schedule and the updates you send.
- How you stop
- Reply STOP to any message to end them, or HELP for help. You can also pause all text reminders or change vehicle exclusions in the garage settings. Previously enrolled, verified users can reply START to resume reminders; initial enrollment happens in the web form.
- Cost
- Text reminders come with CarBindr Plus; we don't charge per message. Message and data rates may apply — your carrier's charges are yours. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- Your number
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your SMS opt-in data and consent are not sold, rented, transferred, or shared with other businesses. Twilio processes the messages and photos you text us; selected fuel photos also go to Anthropic for AI extraction. Separately, an account contact phone number you choose to share with a repair shop is covered by our Privacy Policy; that sharing does not include your SMS opt-in or consent.
